Cannot remember much of portable ops at all, but Honestly loved the introduction of base building and capturing soldiers. MGS2 - improved upon the first, didn't mind the Raiden switcheroo but wasn't a fan of how it leaned more into sci-fi fantasy towards the end, especially with Raiden vs Metal Gear Rays and how it diminished how much of a WMD the game treated MG Rex in the first game. Metal Gear Solid 1 - excellent, old, but still held up well today, disappointed I didn't play it when it was released and the Psycho Mantis part blew my mind I went into these games with only the knowledge that they were popular, and that they featured a character called Solid Snake, that's it. I did not play the original MG1&2 and Survive but did play the handheld games and the standalone Raiden Rising game.
